Today I have been making paper from grasses gathered in the meadow by the river where I live. I am excited about a new creative project which will enable me to paint the meadow in all the seasons but using paper that is actually made from the meadow itself. I have really enjoyed channelling my inner witch and stirring a cauldron full of weird smelling vegetation which then gets transformed into textured handmade paper which I can then use as the starting point for some new style artwork - one of the joys is that I don't quite know how it is going to work so it will be a voyage of discovery. Nice to feel the inspiration returning - even if it is keeping me awake at night with all the ideas...
