Ceramics is never ending voyage of discovery for me. I love everything about this process and am experimenting with all sorts of different techniques. I love to throw on the wheel and produce colourful glazed functional ware, but also like to produce art pieces which can be a mixture of wheel thrown and hand built. The discovery of local clay in my own back garden was a further excitement and I am creating unique pieces from this clay and plant based paper that I make from the local river side grasses. I have a particular love for alternative firing techniques such as pit firing, raku and saggar firing.
